Jessica Ayala Jones is a member of the firm's Business Transaction Practice Group. Ms. Jones provides legal counsel to business entities, as well as individual clients, in a variety of business transactions, including asset acquisitions, stock acquisitions, mergers, and joint ventures. Ms. Jones regularly counsels clients on general corporate matters, including selecting and forming new business entities, matters of governance, shareholder relations, dissolutions, drafting and negotiating various types of commercial contracts, and general contracting issues. Ms. Jones also routinely advises clients in the areas of commercial and corporate finance, asset-based lending, and other secured and unsecured lending, representing institutional lenders and borrowers in structuring, negotiating, and documenting sophisticated single- and multiple-lender and/or borrower-financing transactions.
In addition, Ms. Jones has counseled various clients through the application process for tax-exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service.
Ms. Jones earned her J.D., with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she was the administrative editor for the Connecticut Journal of International Law. She earned her B.A. in sports medicine, exercise, and sport science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Ms. Jones is admitted to practice before the Connecticut state courts.
