Dwight Merriam represents developers, local governments, landowners, and advocacy groups in land development and conservation issues. He has published over 200 professional articles and six books on land use law, including Inclusionary Zoning Moves Downtown, The Takings Issue, The Complete Guide to Zoning, and Eminent Domain Use and Abuse: Kelo in Context.
