Ms. Sackett’s regional insurance practice includes the determination of coverage under policies, claims-handling practices, extra-contractual and bad faith liability, application misrepresentation, and underwriting matters. She counsels insurers regarding policy coverage and claims-handling practices under CGL, professional liability, D&O, commercial auto, umbrella, and excess policies. Ms. Sackett also routinely represents insurers in the litigation of insurance coverage and unfair claims-handling actions in state and federal courts in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She frequently provides in-house training seminars to insurers and third-party administrators regarding claims-handling practices and insurance coverage analysis.
Ms. Sackett graduated, cum laude, from Tufts University, where she majored in political science and history. She graduated with honors from The George Washington University Law School. She is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
