Being a summer associate isn't all work. We plan a number of social outings so that our summer associates can get to know the people at Robinson & Cole and learn about the many cultural and entertainment opportunities in our local communities. Lawyers at Robinson & Cole often find that it is during the summer associate program's social events that some of the most meaningful professional friendships begin to take root.
Activities from recent summers include events such as:
- An outing to a minor league baseball game
- An evening of dinner and theatre at the Goodspeed Opera House
- Dinner party at a partner's house
- A performance of the Blue Man Group
- A partner/summer associate golf outing
- Hill-Stead Museum open house and poetry reading
- Happy hour at a local brew pub
- Informal impromptu gatherings such as lunch at popular local grinder shops or a sushi dinner
We also welcome our summer associates to attend and participate in softball games and firm outings, which occur throughout the summer. Through a range of informal events, which in the past have included visits to judicial chambers, picnics, boat outings and hiking trips, summer associates and lawyers at Robinson & Cole begin to get to know each other on a personal level. The many activities held through the summer give summer associates a close look at Robinson & Cole's greatest asset - our people.
