Commercial Real Estate Associate - New York, NY

Robinson+Cole’s dynamic and growing real estate practice seeks an attorney to join its New York City office. 

Robinson+Cole's real estate practice encompasses a spectrum of real estate transactional and related matters, representing a range of clients, including multinational corporations; institutional, public, and private lenders; retailers; state agencies; bonding authorities; schools; commercial and multifamily developers; health care institutions; hotel chains; and manufacturers.  Robinson+Cole also advises for-profit developers, nonprofit organizations, housing authorities, and redevelopment agencies on acquisition, development, management, and financing of affordable housing projects, and is a premier firm in representing lenders and other participants in complex affordable housing financing transactions.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of two years of experience representing clients in real estate lending matters with an emphasis on representing lending institutions in connection with commercial real estate financing or affordable housing financing transactions. Business Immigration Associate - Hartford, CT

The Hartford office of Robinson & Cole LLP, an Am Law 200 firm, is seeking a Business Immigration Associate with two to four years of business immigration law experience to join our Immigration practice.

Our lawyers, experienced in all aspects of immigration law, represent Fortune 100 and Global 500 companies, as well as small businesses, new ventures, and nonprofit organizations, including hospitals and universities.  Our firm provides a full range of immigration legal services. We regularly prepare submissions to all applicable government agencies and assist clients with employment eligibility verification and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have experience assessing eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for nonimmigrant and immigrant visa status in the United States, working with clients to prepare petitions and applications for submission to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Department of Labor (DOL) for nonimmigrant and immigrant status for foreign national duties, and working on other related duties as required.
Our ideal candidate has at least two years of immigration experience (either as an Immigration Associate or Immigration Paralegal), superior academic credentials, excellent writing and analytical skills, has the ability to work as a member of a team, and works well in a fast-paced environment.  Candidate must be highly motivated with strong organizational skills (with emphasis on detail) and the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.  Admission to the Connecticut bar is strongly preferred.

Business Bankruptcy Junior Associate - Wilmington, DE

Robinson+Cole LLP, an Am Law 200 firm, seeks an associate with one to three years of experience to join its Bankruptcy and Reorganizations Practice Group in its Wilmington, DE.  The duties of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the representation of Debtors, Creditors and Official and Unofficial Committees in business bankruptcy and restructuring matters;
  • Drafting and reviewing court filings, including but not limited to motions, memoranda, and complaints;
  • Conducting research and drafting related correspondence, memoranda, and briefs;
  • Attending to all matters related to discovery in contested matters as well as adversary proceedings.

Intellectual Property & Technology Associate 

Robinson+Cole, an AmLaw 200 firm, seeks an associate with three to four years of intellectual property and technology transaction and trademark and copyright prosecution experience to join its Intellectual Property and Technology Law Practice Group. 

We are looking for a candidate with significant experience on:

  • Trademark and copyright prosecution, counseling and enforcement matters including prosecuting, maintaining and enforcing trademark and copyright applications and registrations, counseling on brand management and copyright protection matters, assisting with resolution of ownership rights and disputes, advising on the establishment of trade secret programs, and counseling clients on packaging, labeling, promotional and advertising matters.
  • A range of intellectual property and technology transactional matters, including structuring, drafting, revising, and negotiating a wide variety of agreements related to intellectual property and technology including license agreements, research and development agreements, strategic alliance agreements, maintenance, support and other service agreements, and other intellectual property and technology agreements. The candidate will also assist on intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.

Litigation Associate (ERISA) 

Robinson+Cole, an AmLaw 200 firm, seeks an associate with at least three years of complex litigation experience to join its Litigation Section in its Hartford, CT or New York, NY office. 

Robinson+Cole is one of the few firms in the Northeast and Florida with a specific team of lawyers and nonlawyer professionals who focus on advising and defending employers, plans, and life, health and disability insurers in connection with claims for employee welfare benefits and administration of benefit plans governed by ERISA.

We are looking for a candidate with superior academic credentials, excellent writing and analytical skills, and large-firm or equivalent experience to join our team.  The successful candidate will be expected to assume substantial responsibility, including drafting of briefs on critical motions, management of discovery, depositions and court appearances.  Admission to the bar in which the attorney is resident is required.  Law review experience and/or judicial clerkship experience are a plus.  ERISA benefits litigation experience preferred, but not required.
