Current Needs

Corporate Videographer - Hartford, CT

The Hartford office is seeking a full-time Corporate Videographer to join our Talent Development team. If you are highly motivated and ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment, then this may be the perfect position for you. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
•    Record and produce attorney presentations at client sites and in-house, internal videos for various professional development events, annual state of the firm video, and training and marketing videos 
•    Transport, set up and operate various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones for location and studio production
•    Develop and maintain a library of videos and associated materials for reference and access
•    Support the team throughout the production process, which may include finding interview subjects, creating graphics, and presenting to clients and other constituents 
•    Assist in developing training storyboards
•    Act as live-event camera operator when required 

The ideal candidate will be able to shoot great looking corporate interviews and B-Roll under tight timelines and budgets. Must be able to make critical decisions about lighting, framing and composition in a timely manner and be ready to improvise and make quick decisions. Proficiency with digital cinema cameras and a thorough understanding of relevant industry technology and video formats is required. 

A bachelor’s degree is required with 1+ years of relevant experience as a corporate videographer. Travel will be required within CT, MA and NY as projects require. A valid driver’s license and a reliable car will be necessary as well as the ability to lift, carry and move equipment. Qualified candidates will be able to work and communicate effectively with people from a variety of background and possess exemplary organization skills with a strong attention to detail.

Business Development and Marketing Writer - Hartford, CT

The Hartford office is currently seeking a full-time Business Development and Marketing (BDM) Writer. Working as part of the firm’s BDM team, this individual is primarily responsible for drafting compelling, concise, persuasive, and error-free content in a style that is consistent with the firm’s messaging and branding. 

The ideal candidate will have three to five years of prior experience creating and directing external or internal communications in a corporate environment. Experience in the legal industry is strongly preferred. A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in English or journalism.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
•    Research, write and edit content for a broad range of external and internal communication vehicles, including pitches, proposals, newsletters, website content, rankings and award submissions, announcements, brochures, invitations, advertising copy, lawyer bios, the firm’s intranet, and other materials. 
•    Edit, proofread and fact-check drafts written by others.
•    Develop compelling, timely content for website and intranet stories and other firm communications, based on practice group activities, successes (wins, deals, etc.), thought leadership activities, pro bono efforts, events, executive initiatives, and more. 
•    Assist communications team with writing needs, including drafting/editing press releases and other materials, and assist the creative design team with content for marketing materials as needed.

Firm deadlines, quick turnaround times, and fluctuating workloads are common for this position. The ideal candidate will possess superior writing and editing skills, work effectively on a team as well as independently, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
