NYS Cybersecurity Regulation: What Boards, the C-Suite and GCs Need to Know About Complying with the NY Department of Financial Services Cybersecurity Regulation - New York

For more information contact: Kelly R. Sweeney

Event Description

To protect New York State from the increasing threat of cyber-attacks, the New York Department of Financial Services has issued a cybersecurity regulation, effective March 1, 2017. Now what? Boards and CEOs especially should take notice. The regulation requires an annual Certification of Compliance, personally signed, and goes beyond the requirements of GLBA, HIPAA, and state privacy and security laws. We will discuss the details of the regulation, how it affects more than just technology organizations, and, most importantly, what it takes to create an effective compliance program.

Please join Robinson+Cole lawyers as they discuss the details of the Regulation, the personal liabilities at stake, and most importantly, what it takes to create an effective Compliance program.

A cocktail reception will follow the program.
