Event Description

The New England Women in Energy and the Environment's (NEWIEE) fifth annual program in the “Women Shaping the Agenda” series will be held on Wednesday, July 24. The program is hosted at the University of Massachusetts Boston John W. McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies. Robinson+Cole is pleased to be a sponsor for the event.

The event will center on Regional Collaboration vs. State Sovereignty on Energy and the Environment: Where the New England States Converge and Diverge. Panelists will discuss how the states are working together to meet their shared clean energy and environmental policy goals, and where the states are going their separate ways to achieve state-specific policies and objectives. Policy matters of interest will include renewable/clean energy procurement efforts; climate mitigation strategies; carbon reduction measures from the power, transportation, and buildings sectors; and clean energy jobs objectives.
