As we ring in a new year, we look back on a year that created significant changes and challenges for employers across the country. We expect those changes to continue in 2021. With the recently authorized COVID-19 vaccinations, the newly-released federal stimulus package, and constantly changing CDC and state guidelines, employers continue to grapple with the operational issues related to COVID-19.
In this program, we will explore five key COVID-19-related questions facing employers as we enter the new year, including whether to mandate or encourage employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccine; how to manage leave requests with the expiration of leave under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act on December 31, 2020; and what are the best practices for updating return-to-work policies amid changes in state and federal guidance.
