Attorneys Help Launch Boston Bar Association Real Estate Section Season

10.05.10
The Boston Bar Association (BBA) Real Estate Section recently kicked off its 2010-2011 event season thanks to the efforts of Robinson & Cole attorneys Brian W. Blaesser, Matthew J. Lawlor, and Carla M. Moynihan. The first program focused on the state’s affordable housing law (Chapter 40B) and the public policy issues facing Massachusetts voters in light of the November ballot question to repeal the statute.

Mr. Lawlor, counsel in the firm’s Land Use and Real Estate Development Practice Groups, organized the three-hour, three-panel session, moderating the first one. Mr. Blaesser, a LandLaw partner well-known for his 40B development work and affordable housing appeals practice, was a panelist in the second panel. Ms. Moynihan, a partner in the Real Estate Practice Group, is cochair of the BBA Real Estate Section, which addresses specific substantive areas of law ranging from bankruptcy to zoning, including land use, environmental issues, development, financing, and eminent domain matters.
