Virginia McGarrity Begins Serving as Past President of Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association

Employee benefits attorney Virginia E. McGarrity began serving as past president of the Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association (CHBA) on April 21, 2012. She was previously the CHBA’s president.

The CHBA is an organization of lawyers, law students, paralegals, professors and members of the judiciary, who encourage the advancement, collaboration, and development of Hispanic lawyers and who assist private and public legal employers in achieving their diversity goals. The CHBA has undertaken substantial efforts to serve the bar and the Hispanic community in Connecticut and is a member of the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity. Over the years the CHBA has awarded thousands of dollars in academic scholarships to law students.
