6.20.12
LandLaw partner Brian W. Blaesser spoke at the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) RECon Conference in May as part of a Special Industry Group Forum on Public/Private Partnerships. The forum was sponsored by the ICSC Alliance Program, which fosters and promotes relationships between public officials and shopping center developers. Mr. Blaesser’s presentation explained how tax increment financing (TIF) works and discussed the structural, legal and practical issues that must be addressed for a TIF program to be successful. Mr. Blaesser is an appointed member of ICSC’s national Environmental Subcommittee and serves on the editorial board of the ICSC publication Retail Law Strategist.
