Robinson & Cole has the talent to provide exceptional legal services. What separates us from other major commercial law firms, however, is our established, business-like approach to dealing with our clients. Our service strategy is focused on meeting our clients' goals. We have spent considerable time over the last decade streamlining our delivery systems, restructuring our firm, and working as teams in order to ensure the quality service that our clients expect…and deserve.
Relationship Management
To ensure timely and responsive communication throughout the engagement, we assign one lawyer to manage the relationship. The Relationship Manager keeps projects on target and within budget. We believe clients benefit from having a single contact at the firm to coordinate all interaction between their management, our lawyers, and other parties.
Business Model
A key component in helping to achieve our clients' goals is the business focus Robinson & Cole adopted several years ago. This model has made us the firm of choice for a growing number of publicly traded corporations, international companies, and governmental entities.
Approach to Routine Expenses
At Robinson & Cole, we do not bill for routine expenses that we consider our cost of doing business. These nonbillable expenses include routine telephone charges, copying, faxing, postage, word processing, secretarial overtime and travel costs of our lawyers to other firm offices. We do bill, at our cost, for extraordinary expenditures such as conference calls and extensive long-distance and international telephone charges, large copying jobs, filing fees, messenger and courier services and computer research charges, as well as travel and overnight expenses if specifically related to client matters. When using third-party services, we endeavor to work with the best quality, lowest priced vendors.
