The Midnight Run
Twice a year for a program called The Midnight Run, a partner in our Stamford office and other adults rent a truck and drive a group of teenagers to New York City at about 10 p.m. and distribute bag lunch-type food, soup, and coffee, plus large quantities of clothing and blankets etc to the homeless. They are given locations by The Midnight Run organization, located in Tarrytown, New York, to stop around Manhattan where the homeless congregate for the night. It is a formative experience for suburban teenagers to actually talk with and serve people who are as individual as they are.
