Christine Rutigliano is the director of New York Government Relations in the Albany, New York, office. Prior to joining the firm, she held the position of deputy comptroller in the New York Office of the State Comptroller (OSC). Ms. Rutigliano spent nearly 15 years working for the New York State Legislature, spending time in both the upper and lower houses.
Ms. Rutigliano served the State Senate Democratic Conference as finance secretary and, prior to that, served as its budget director. She supervised the day-to-day operations and long-term goals of the entire committee staff, managing both the expenditure and revenue components of the New York State Budget for the conference.
Prior to her duties with the State Senate, Ms. Rutigliano served in the State Assembly in various capacities for ten years. For three years, she served as a budget analyst for the Assembly Committee on Ways and Means, where she broadened her public service horizons and became well versed in policy and the fiscal needs of the State. She began her public service career in 1988 with Assembly Communications and Information Services, where she honed her writing, researching, and management skills.
Ms. Rutigliano received her bachelor of science degree in political science and economics from the State University of New York at Oneonta and her master's degree, summa cum laude, in public policy at Marist College, where she was named Outstanding Scholar in her program.
