Peter Fabiankovic focuses his practice on insurance coverage analysis and litigation, reinsurance litigation, and commercial litigation, and he has experience in both federal and state courts and arbitral forums. He is a member of the firm’s Insurance + Reinsurance Group.
A substantial portion of Mr. Fabiankovic’s work concerns coverage matters arising out of property and casualty, commercial general liability, directors and officers liability, financial institutions liability, employment practices liability, and fidelity insurance policies. Along with his significant caseload of insurance coverage and commercial matters, Mr. Fabiankovic regularly reviews and analyzes insurance policies to draft coverage opinions and disclaimer letters for clients. He takes insureds’ examinations under oath to assist insurers in their coverage investigations. Mr. Fabiankovic drafts complex legal documents, including appellate briefs, motions to dismiss, and motions for summary judgment. He often appears for motions and conferences before state courts, arbitration hearings, and mediations.
Mr. Fabiankovic has experience in all pretrial matters, including serving as a main point of contact with clients, developing initial case strategies, and negotiating and settling cases with opposing counsel. He manages all aspects of discovery, takes depositions, regularly appears before state and federal courts for conferences and motions, and drafts complex documents, which has included several successful dispositive motions.
