Bob Smith is a retired partner of the firm who focused his practice in the areas of estate planning and estate and trust administration. He has assisted individuals in planning for the distribution of their assets at death and in formulating arrangements designed to minimize death taxes, lifetime transfer taxes, and income taxes. Bob has been involved in the settlement of estates, representing both corporate and individual executors before the Internal Revenue Service, the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services, and the probate courts. His practice also involved questions of present and deferred charitable giving, trust law, conservatorships, guardianships, and other fiduciary relationships.
Bob has acted as counsel to tax-exempt entities and is active as a volunteer in several community organizations. He was selected to the Connecticut Super Lawyers list from 2006 to 2013.
