6/10/08 Robinson & Cole is pleased to announce that attorney Jonathan E. Blaine was recently selected to receive one of the Connecticut Bar Association’s pro bono awards this year for his work in 2007. He received his award at the CBA’s 2008 Annual Meeting at the Hartford Convention Center on June 9th. Mr. Blaine was nominated by Lawyers Without Borders (LWOB), the world's largest group of volunteer lawyers offering pro bono service to national and international Rule of Law projects and initiatives, in recognition of his dedication and commitment to pro bono service.

5/15/08 The law firm of Robinson & Cole recently presented a $1,000 donation to Riverfront Recapture in connection with Riverfront Recapture's plans to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Bulkeley Bridge later this year. The donation covers the archival expenses related to preserving historical information from the bridge's dedication in October of 1908. This donation underscores Robinson & Cole’s commitment to the community. Robinson & Cole has supported Riverfront Recapture, in particular, since its inception.
5/13/08 The law firm of Robinson & Cole recently volunteered during the 20th Anniversary AmeriCares HomeFront Day. The team of volunteers worked on a combination of small and large home improvement projects for one home in Bridgeport, Connecticut, which included painting the entire interior and exterior of the house as well as the exterior of the garage, installing a new kitchen floor, repairing cement stairs outside the house, repairing broken light fixtures inside and outside the house, and tackling other smaller fix-up projects throughout the house.

4/30/08 Robinson & Cole’s women attorneys recently hosted their inaugural “Sweet Sensations” benefit at Chocopologie in Norwalk, Connecticut, benefiting Kids in Crisis, a nonprofit organization. All guests were asked to bring a “summer” donation to support the organization, such as sunscreen and beach toys for the children.

Children between the ages of 4 and 14 were called upon to draw a winter scene reflecting the holiday season. With 29 entries, four of the illustrations were selected to appear on the firm’s holiday card.
