Education Industry Team chair member Kate Dion and member Seth Orkand will present the webinar, "Title IX: What Schools Need to Know to Prepare for Final Regulations" hosted by the Connecticut Conference of Independent Colleges (CCIC). The Department of Education released proposed major changes to the current Title IX regulations. The proposed revisions would remove barriers to reporting sexual harassment and extend protections based on sexual orientation and gender identity. They would also significantly alter schools’ responsibilities in responding to allegations of sexual misconduct. This webinar will offer a brief overview of the proposed regulations and highlight some the most significant changes, and offer insight on what schools should consider doing now to prepare for the final regulations.
