Biography
Kathryn Mullin concentrates her practice on commercial real estate development, general real estate matters, affordable housing, and finance. Her clients include businesses of all sizes, lenders, developers, builders, and organizations. She is a member of the firm's Real Estate + Development Group.
Affordable Housing Finance
Kathryn represents lenders, drafts loan documents, assists clients with due diligence, and reviews titles and surveys in connection with financing transactions for affordable housing projects. She recently helped represent a national bank lender in three multi-million dollar transactions, totaling $49 million.
Real Estate – Financing and Transactions
Kathryn assists clients with all real estate transactions and financing, including drafting mortgage and loan documents. She helps negotiate, document, and close acquisitions, dispositions, and financings. Kathryn advises clients in the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of mortgage loans and real estate transactions; conducts due diligence; and handles title matters. She recently helped with the sale of a former industrial site for a chemical company.
Land Use - Zoning
Kathryn helps clients who need approvals from municipal and state land use agencies for their development projects. She researches zoning regulations and laws which apply to a particular project, to increase the likelihood of a proposal’s approval. Kathryn has conducted research of the zoning regulations of several municipalities. She recently researched non-conforming uses for a zoning appeal, and caselaw related to the highest and best use of a property for an eminent domain case.
Pro Bono
Kathryn is committed to doing pro bono work. She assisted a land trust with acquiring a donation of property, drafted a donation agreement, and reviewed the deed, tax, and conveyance forms.
While attending law school, Kathryn was a Public Interest Scholar and worked as a congressional intern for U.S. Senator Chris Murphy.
