Biography
Kristen Spirou concentrates her practice on commercial real estate finance, land use, and transactional matters. She is a member of the firm's Real Estate + Development Group.
Land Use
Kristen advises clients on local zoning and other state land use regulation, and environmental risk documentation in the context of transactions. She also assist clients with obtaining the permits and approvals needed to successfully complete their development projects.
Real Estate Financing and Transactions
Kristen represents lenders in commercial lending transactions for all mortgage asset classes, including affordable housing projects. She assists clients in structuring and documenting mortgage loans and real estate transactions, and reviews title, survey, and due diligence materials.
While in law school, Kristen served as Managing Editor of the Boston University Public Interest Law Journal. During her third year, she was also a student attorney with the school’s Startup Law clinic, where she assisted MIT and Boston University student entrepreneurs with corporate, transactional, and intellectual property issues that arise in starting and growing a business.
