Biography
William (Liam) Bohonnon is a member of the firm’s Insurance + Reinsurance Group and focuses his practice on complex insurance coverage disputes arising from both third-party and first-party claims. Liam also counsels and advises insurers in a variety of liability claims, including construction defect, environmental and professional liability.
Prior to joining Robinson + Cole, Liam gained valuable litigation experience in the defense of insureds in complex claims and lawsuits involving property damage, personal injury, professional liability, and product liability. He represents clients at all stages of litigation, including pre-trial strategy, motion practice, written discovery, depositions and trial.
Prior to entering law school, Liam spent several years working as a financial analyst at a global financial institution in New York City. While attending the University of Connecticut School of Law, he served as Notes and Comments Editor for its Insurance Law Journal publication.
Pro Bono
Liam is committed to performing pro bono work. Before joining Robinson+Cole he represented veterans facing eviction through his previous firm’s relationship with the Connecticut Veteran’s Legal Center. Based on his many years of service to the Center, the Connecticut Bar Association honored him with its Anthony V. DeMayo Pro Bono Award in 2021.
