Biography
Katherine Skonberg is a member of the firm’s Business Transactions Group. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, finance, and general corporate matters.
Mergers and Acquisitions
Katherine represents companies with all aspects of corporate transactions, including buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions. She has experience across a wide array of industries, allowing her to better serve her clients.
Commercial Financing
Katherine has experience representing borrowers, banks, funds and other lenders, providing a unique perspective on how to structure financing documents to best help her clients. Her experience includes acquisition financing, asset-based financing, and mortgage financing.
General Corporate Matters
Katherine has worked with a variety of clients on corporate matters, including entity formation, corporate governance, commercial contracting, debt and equity financing, transactions involving real estate, and other general corporate concerns.
Prior to joining Robinson+Cole she served as a Senior Legal Technology Solutions consultant for a consulting firm in Washington, D.C. Her experience there included managing a $5billion cross-country acquisition project that involved the Federal Trade Commission and the Canadian Competition Bureau. Katherine also collaborated with U.S. and U.K. law firms in managing the review of an investigation into price fixing.
While in law school, Katherine served as Managing Editor of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Law Journal. She also was a legal intern with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Division of Enforcement.
Katherine is originally from South Africa and is extremely enthusiastic about helping South African wildlife.
