    Biography

    Emmett Tan is a member of the firm’s Business Transactions Group. Emmett specializes in mergers and acquisitions, project financing and capital market transactions, with a focus on industries including TMT (Technology, Media and Telecommunications), education, catering, health care, real estate and manufacturing. His legal experience includes working in China for one of the top-tier international law firms in Asia, advising multinational and state-owned enterprises, commercial banks, and foreign investors on corporate and securities law matters, with a special focus on corporate and cross-border transactions in the areas of banking, finance and securities.

    In that capacity, Emmett negotiated and drafted transaction and corporate documents, drafted memoranda and legal opinions on corporate and capital markets law and conducted due diligence investigations and drafted reports. His responsibilities included advising clients on transaction structures and coordinating legal entity formations and other general corporate matters.
