Integration
Whether joining our firm with prior law firm experience or joining a law firm for the first time, becoming familiar with our firm, culture and teams begins on day one. Our multi-day onboarding program will introduce you to life at R+C, to our leadership teams, to your colleagues, and to training, tools and resources that make your transition as seamless as possible and position you for success in your role.
Training
At R+C, our first-class technical training is designed to address your individual need. You will additionally benefit from specific training tailored to your role and your administrative department or practice group. We provide you with an in-depth understanding of expectations and how you can make a significant contribution to your team and our firm. Ongoing multi-dimensional training is provided through multiple resources including:
- R+C University provides a vast learning resource library where you will not only access some of your required training programs but will also find just-in-time resources when you need them that will allow you to develop skills at your own pace.
- You will also have access to unlimited training programs through LinkedIn Learning where you can take advantage of both professional and personal development topics.
- Managers and supervisors receive important training on topics including providing feedback, setting goals and delivering effective evaluations to help them more effectively lead and develop their teams.
- Our paralegal teams participate in a variety of practice group trainings as well as an annual paralegal retreat focused on professional development.
Ongoing Feedback
Receiving constructive and meaningful feedback is essential to career growth and development.
- New hires receive a 90-day review after arriving at our firm to check-in on training, integration and work performance. Following this, we work together to set a plan for success and continued growth and development.
- Business professionals at R+C are evaluated annually by their managers to understand whether their performance is meeting expectations and discuss the progress of their development.
- These annual evaluations provide business professionals with an opportunity to complete a self-appraisal where they can reflect on their performance and goals and share how they contribute to the R+C community and their communities at large.
Through this holistic approach, R+C supports our business professionals in their careers and provides guidance for ongoing professional and personal growth.
Engagement + Connection
We understand feeling engaged with our firm and connected to colleagues is critically important to your experience here. We consistently aim to foster a culture of engagement by creating opportunities for our attorneys and business professionals to participate in our firm and interact with one another.

- R+C Community: Similarly, we encourage our business professionals to actively participate in the myriad opportunities meant to connect our people across the firm including:
- Business professionals who are involved in their communities and/or non-profit organizations are given the opportunity to share participation in these outside activities and often obtain support from colleagues at our firm.
- Awards + Recognition: Recognizing the contributions of our colleagues across our firm — whether a senior partner, an associate or a junior member of our business professionals team — is an essential part of R+C’s culture.
- R+C Awards: We annually honor the outstanding contributions of our Attorneys and Business Professionals, within the firm and within our communities, in the following categories: Community Service, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion + Belonging, Mentorship, Pro Bono and Wellbeing
- ReCognize: Our quarterly ReCognize awards highlight members of the R+C community for going above and beyond for their colleagues and clients.
- We also note and celebrate the accomplishments of our Business Professionals including, for example, holding a firmwide fireside chat to discuss a book authored by one of our business professionals.
- Surveys: We regularly utilize and participate in various internal and external surveys to take a pulse on engagement and gather feedback on how our firm can better support our attorneys and business professionals. We were recently recognized as an Inclusive Workplace by COLOR Magazine as a result of such a survey – an honor of which we are extremely proud.
Perks + Benefits
Remote Weeks
Under our current hybrid work model, attorneys and most business professionals are able to work fully remotely during the last week of August, the week of Thanksgiving and the week between Christmas and New Year’s.
Business Casual Dress Code
Throughout the year, attorneys and business professionals may take advantage of our business casual dress code which provides you with the ability to dress more comfortably while still maintaining professionalism. During July and August, our dress code is more relaxed.
Tuition Reimbursement
Upon completion of one year of service, business professionals may seek reimbursement for pre-approved professional certifications and tuition.
Paid Time Off
R+C recognizes that business professionals need time off to spend with family and friends and to relax and rejuvenate. PTO is provided based on length of service in a range between 23 and 28 days annually.
