Project Development + Operation

Our lawyers help clients to secure federal, state, and local permits, certificates, and authorizations for various renewable and alternative energy projects and to qualify facilities to generate and sell renewable energy credits (RECs). We also draft equipment procurement, operations and maintenance (O&M), and offtake agreements. Additionally, we assist clients with navigating the utility interconnection process and negotiating tax stabilization agreements for renewable and alternative energy projects. Finally, we support energy project developers, generators, and utilities in regulatory proceedings and regulatory matters.

Renewable Transactions

Robinson+Cole lawyers have extensive experience with renewable energy generation transactions, both in negotiating transaction documents and in conducting due diligence on projects. We regularly represent developers in connection with the sale of solar generation projects and owners-operators of renewable generation assets in connection with the acquisition or sale of those assets. We also represent lenders, developers, and project owners in connection with debt and equity financing transactions. Additionally, we regularly represent renewable project developers and owner-operators on joint development agreements and joint ventures.

(NYSE: VECA), a special purpose acquisition company incorporated in the Cayman Islands. D. Boral Capital is a relationship-driven global investment bank headquartered in New York City, dedicated to delivering strategic advisory and tailored financial solutions to middle-market and emerging growth companies. On May 7, 2026, VECA completed its $100 million IPO of 10,000,000 units at $10 per unit. The units began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “VECAU” on May 6, 2026.
