Technology

The information and information technology sector represents a wide range of products and services provided by companies at every stage of development—from emerging companies commercializing innovative technologies to mature companies outsourcing their business processes or implementing global enterprise technology solutions.

The communications marketplace has undergone a historic transformation, from single to multiple providers of telecommunications services offering traditional landline and wireless intrastate interexchange resale, private line, and access services. Cable companies find themselves not only facing an uncertain regulatory environment but also having to meet the challenge posed by telecommunications providers as each moves toward a more sophisticated, intelligent, and integrated market for services.

Robinson+Cole's clients include suppliers and customers of technology and technology-enabled products and services, such as equipment manufacturers, software developers, service providers, and technology vendors. We also represent individual inventors, developers, and consultants. Our clients operate in diverse industries, including financial services, consumer products, food and beverage, health care, medical devices, Internet and social media, branding and advertising, telecommunications, insurance, pharmaceuticals, education, alternative energy, transportation, computer hardware, physical security, and manufacturing. The services we provide our clients include the following:

  • Construction law
  • Corporate law
  • Environmental
  • Finance

Robinson+Cole Achieves Prestigious ISO 27001 Certification for Information Security Management

After undergoing a rigorous audit and review process, Robinson+Cole has achieved ISO 27001 certification, one of the most stringent security standards for businesses. The certification represents a commitment to the establishment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of an organization’s information security management system and to ensure that formal security and risk management controls are in place to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive company, client, and personal information. As part of the evaluation process, R+C assessed potential security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks and reinforced technical, operational, and management controls across all business units to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of client and firm information assets. “Achieving ISO 27001 certification reinforces Robinson+Cole’s commitment to protecting and securing our clients’ and stakeholders’ highly sensitive information,” said Jason Grant, the firm’s Chief Information Officer. “Holding ourselves to one of the most rigorous information security standards demonstrates to them how serious we are about the safety and privacy of their data.” In an industry where trust, precision, and reliability are paramount, the ISO certification sets R+C apart as a firm that prioritizes quality, accountability, and security of client information. Law firms are among the most targeted companies by cyber criminals—with R+C’s ISO 27001 certification, clients can be assured that their information will be protected and secured using the highest international security standards. As part of the certification, R+C will undergo annual recertification audits to ensure its information security management systems continue to employ state-of-the-art practices and procedures, keeping pace with an ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape. R+C’s ISO 27001 audit was performed by INTI.Q Solutions.
