Wellbeing

The Wellbeing Committee provides education, programming, and events to help ensure the wellbeing of every member of our Robinson+Cole family. We are a signatory to the American Bar Association Well-Being Pledge and annually participate in Well-Being Week In Law.

Our Wellbeing Committee welcomes both attorneys and business professionals to participate in shaping our firm’s wellbeing agenda. Taking a holistic approach, the Committee has six subcommittees focused on various facets of wellbeing:

Whether engaging in firmwide fitness challenges, visiting local museums, learning about retirement resources, organizing school supply collections, participating in book clubs or simply connecting socially, the Wellbeing Committee sponsors numerous programs and conversations each year meant to allow space for every person at Robinson+Cole to flourish. Past Wellbeing Committee programming has included:

  • Try Something New Challenge
  • Developing a Rest Ethic
  • Caregiver Planning: Being Ready for the Future
  • Estate Planning
  • Movement Mondays
  • Internet Safety

For those interested in mindfulness, our firm provides access to the HeadSpace app. We also offer a comprehensive employee assistance program through TotalCare ESI.

For our working mothers who need to travel, we offer breast milk storage and shipping services through Milk Stork. We also have spaces for nursing mothers in our offices.

Wellbeing Initiatives

Fireside Chat: The 4 Jobs Club

The Parents/Caregivers Subcommittee hosted a firmwide fireside chat with author Kathryn Sollmann (pictured center). Subcommittee chair Raymond Carta and Wellbeing Committee chair Sharon Fry moderated the interactive session where Kathryn discussed her book, “The 4 Jobs Club,” which provides over 200 practical tips to help simplify four demanding roles—career, kids, aging parents, and household—that working women often find themselves managing.

2025 Virtual 5K

Robinson+Cole held our sixth annual Virtual 5K in October, hosted by the Women's and Wellbeing Committees. The event encourages participants to spend time walking, biking, running, hiking, kayaking and more with colleagues, families and friends.

Well-Being Week in Law

Robinson+Cole, through its Wellness Committee, is pleased to support Well-Being Week in Law (WWIL), in alignment with Mental Health Awareness Month in May. Presented by the Institute for Well-Being in Law (IWIL), WWIL aims to raise awareness about mental health and encourage action and innovation across the profession to improve well-being. Learn more about WWIL.

American Bar Association Well-Being Pledge

Robinson+Cole has signed the American Bar Association (ABA) WellBeing Pledge, a campaign dedicated to improving the substance use and mental health landscape of the legal profession. Organized by the ABA Working Group to Advance Well-Being in the Legal Profession, the Pledge is designed to address the profession’s troubling rates of alcohol and other substance-use disorders, as well as mental health issues.
