Nicole M. Diodati assists clients with data and technology licensing, development, acquisition, maintenance, and servicing agreements. Specifically, in connection with technology licensing, she assists clients with a wide variety of agreements necessary to protect and exploit technology such as professional services and development contracts, nondisclosure and inventions assignment agreements, and license agreements. Nicole also represents clients licensing data and software by advising on and negotiating data licenses, software licenses, cloud services and software as a service (SaaS) agreements.
Intellectual Property
Nicole’s practice primarily involves advising clients on the development, protection, and commercialization of various forms of intellectual property.
- Nicole assists clients with trademark, patent, and copyright development and intellectual property licensing and assignment agreements in various industries.
- Nicole has aided clients with packaging, labeling, promotional, and advertising compliance matters.
- Nicole has aided clients with all aspects of a new product launch, including drafting development agreements, and various commercial agreements, including terms and conditions of use, purchase and sale.
- Nicole assists clients with brand management matters including clearance, prosecution, maintenance and enforcement of trademark registrations and rights worldwide. Nicole also aids clients with resolution of ownership and rights disputes including assisting with U.S. Patent and Trademark Office opposition and cancellation proceedings.
Nicole has experience assisting national and multinational companies across various industries with the intellectual property and technology aspects of mergers and acquisitions, both sell-side and buy-side and ranging in value.
Prior to joining Robinson+Cole, Nicole focused her practice on insurance claims transactions involving data privacy, cybersecurity, information technology, and compliance. Nicole is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).
During law school, Nicole ranked in the top 15% of her graduating class and was an honors judicial intern for the Honorable Edgardo Ramos of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
