Avrohom Rosskamm represents domestic and foreign liability insurers with respect to complex insurance and reinsurance matters. With a practice focused on commercial general liability, commercial property, and general liability, he counsels insurance carriers in coverage matters arising under multiple lines of insurance and in litigation disputes.

Prior to joining the firm, Avi served as a law clerk for the Hon. Victoria Reznik of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He conducted legal research and drafted proposed bench memoranda, orders, opinions, and reports and recommendations for substantive, procedural, and dispositive motions concerning diverse areas of law. Avi’s responsibilities encompassed attending court proceedings, including an employment discrimination trial, discovery-related status conferences, settlement conferences, and criminal hearings for presentments, bail, and pleas.

While in law school, Avi served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Paul G. Feinman of the New York Court of Appeals and was a judicial intern for the Hon. Nicholas G. Gaurafis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He was a teaching assistant for the school’s Civil Procedure course and the two-semester Lawyering and Legal Writing Seminar.

Avi’s extracurricular interests include travel, art museums, skiing, and baseball.

Avi served as a law clerk for the Staff Attorney’s Office of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. In that role, he was responsible for preparing bench memoranda and proposed orders for the judges of the Second Circuit, recommending dispositions in appeals and substantive motions concerning diverse areas of law, including civil rights (42 U.S.C. § 1983), constitutional law, criminal law and procedure, habeas corpus, employment discrimination (Title VII), appellate procedure and jurisdiction, and civil procedure.
