Edward J. Samorajczyk, Jr. is a corporate lawyer and former co-chair of our firm’s Business practice. He has over 30 years’ experience representing for-profit and not-for-profit clients in both general corporate and transactional matters.

Ed’s particular areas of focus include representing insurance industry clients and other highly regulated entities, including U.S. and internationally based insurers, producers, and financial institutions. He also has extensive public finance experience, particularly involving educational and health care institutions, and has represented issuing authorities, underwriters, credit enhancers, borrowers, and purchasers of bonds for projects located throughout the U.S.

Ed also acts as general outside counsel for clients, providing advice on important aspects of their operations, including corporate governance, strategic restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, investments, and significant contracting matters.

He served as law clerk to Hon. Arthur H. Healy, Connecticut Supreme Court.
