She focuses her practice in the areas of commercial litigation and financial lines. Meryl is a member of our firm’s Insurance + Reinsurance group.

Prior to joining Robinson+Cole, Meryl worked at a New York law firm where she represented domestic and international insurers in complex commercial litigation, including first-party and third-party insurance disputes.

While at Boston College Law School, Meryl worked as a summer associate at a New York law firm specializing in civil rights litigation.

Robinson+Cole Elects New Partners and Counsel

Robinson+Cole is pleased to announce the election of Curtis Crowther, Katherine Fix, and Joel McNabney as Partners as well as the promotion of Trevor Bradley, Meryl Breeden, Dan Brody, and Scott Garosshen to Counsel, effective January 1, 2024. The new partners and counsel represent a range of practice areas, including bankruptcy, business litigation, government enforcement and white-collar defense, internal investigations and corporate compliance, intellectual property and technology litigation, manufacturing, insurance litigation and appellate litigation. “We are proud to elevate and congratulate these extraordinarily talented attorneys for their well-deserved promotions,” said Rhonda J. His extensive litigation experience transcends many substantive areas of commercial and civil litigation including employment and enforcement of restrictive covenants, Delaware corporate law, ERISA-governed benefits, trusts & estates, construction, consumer law and warranties, commercial/business contract disputes, commercial collections, real estate, and other general commercial and business litigation. He also has substantial experience in bankruptcy-related litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Crowther is resident in the firm’s Wilmington office Katherine Fix is a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy + Reorganizations and Business Litigation Groups. She concentrates her practice on bankruptcy and corporate restructuring matters, representing companies and creditors in Chapter 11 reorganizations, including special situations that require both transactional and litigation proficiency. Her experience includes both debtor and creditor representations of committees, corporate entities, and individuals across a variety of industries, including the energy, maritime, retail, and manufacturing industries. Fix is resident in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Joel McNabney is a member of the firm’s Insurance + Reinsurance Practice Group. He advises and represents domestic and international insurers and underwriters in complex coverage and claim disputes, with a focus in property and CGL lines. He defends his clients’ interests in coverage disputes in federal and state courts across the country and regularly litigates matters involving claims for defense and indemnity under third-party liability policies, as well as suits involving catastrophic property damage and business interruption claims under commercial property policies. McNabney is resident in the firm’s Miami office. New Counsel Trevor Bradley is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation and Intellectual Property + Technology Groups. His commercial litigation practice focuses on intellectual property litigation and competition claims, including noncompete, trade secret, and unfair and deceptive trade practices claims. In addition, he is a member of the firm’s Manufacturing Team and has extensive experience litigating product related claims, including class actions, mass tort claims, and supply chain disputes for manufacturers and distributors in a range of industries facing significant exposure. He has obtained successful results for his clients in the state and federal courts throughout the United States. Bradley is resident in the firm’s Stamford and New York offices. Meryl Breeden is a member of the firm’s Insurance + Reinsurance Group. Dan Brody is a member of the firm’s Litigation Section, including the Business Litigation Group and the Government Enforcement and White-Collar Defense, and Internal Investigations and Corporate Compliance Teams. He focuses his practice on complex business litigation, government and internal investigations, corporate compliance, and criminal defense matters. He also maintains a significant pro bono practice, participating in the firm’s Domestic Violence Restraining Order program, providing free representation to victims of domestic violence who are seeking restraining orders. Brody is resident in the firm’s Hartford office. Scott Garosshen is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Group and Appellate Practice Group. They focus their practice on appellate legal needs at the federal and state level, managing all aspects of appellate litigation, from preappeal consults with trial counsel to secure appellate strategy to briefing and oral argument at the appellate level. They have successfully argued numerous appeals before the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Courts spanning multiple practice areas, including contract enforcement, business valuation, dissolution, and choice-of-law matters. Garosshen is resident in the firm’s Hartford office.
