Six Construction Lawyers Recognized in 2024 Super Lawyers®
Dennis Cavanaugh, Greg Faulkner, Fred Hedberg, and Marty Onorato, were named to Thomson Reuter's Super Lawyers® list in the State of Connecticut. In addition, Larry Grijalva was recognized as a "Rising Star" in the State of Connecticut. Connecticut Bar Association Construction Law Section Appointments
Construction Group Chair Marty Onorato began his second year as the chair of the Connecticut Bar Association Construction Section Executive Committee. Fred Hedberg serves as the Executive Committee’s Legislative Liaison and Dennis Cavanaugh also services on the Executive Committee ex-officio as a past chair.
Fred Hedberg and Anand Gupta recognized for Pro Bono Work
Fred Hedberg and Anand Gupta were honored by Connecticut Legal Services for their significant pro bono contributions to the Willimantic Offices Renovation Project. CLS is dedicated to providing legal aid to low-income individuals and families. Read more.

Fred Hedberg Moderates Panel at Pearlman Association's 30th Annual Conference
Fred Hedberg moderated a panel entitled “Early Evaluation of the Principal’s Affirmative Claims,” at the Pearlman Association’s 2024 30th Annual Conference on September 5. The conference featured discussions ranging from bankruptcy, asset management, alternative dispute resolution, site evaluations, principal claims, and underwriting considerations from industry professionals nationwide. Robinson+Cole is a standing member of the association.
Greg Faulkner and Lisa Andrzejewski Help Author ABA's Forum on Construction Law's Design-Build and EPC Contracting: A Practical Legal Guide
Greg Faulkner and Lisa Andrzejewski helped author the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law’s newest publication, Design-Build and EPC Contracting: A Practical Legal Guide. The book serves as a reference guide for construction lawyers looking for information about design-build and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts, the unique risks associated with design-build/EPC project delivery methods, and practice tips from industry professionals. Greg and Lisa authored Chapter 19, which focuses on bonding and performance security, an increasingly prevalent project delivery form in the construction industry. Habitat for Humanity Build Day
Members of Robinson+Cole’s Construction Group shelved their law books to pick up some power tools for a Build Day with Habitat for Humanity North Central Connecticut (HFHNCC). They pitched in to build new homes, adding porches, roofing, steps, and lattice work, in support of HFHNCC’s mission to provide safe, affordable homes for those in need. Connecticut Road Builders Association Annual Fall Dinner Meeting
Robinson+Cole was proud to sponsor the Connecticut Road Builders Association (CRBA) Annual Fall Dinner. This event featured the 2024 Arthur W. Gruhn Excellence in Construction Awards as well as a special recognition of John S. Dunham, P.E. on his retirement from CT DOT. Larry Grijalva, Peter Meggers, and Bill Wilson, a member of the CRBA, attended.
2024 HEREL Annual Conference
