Roger A. Peters, II focuses on commercial real estate development, condominium formation, general real estate, hotel management and hospitality, leasing, and complex finance.

Real Estate – Transactions

Roger represents buyers and sellers in acquiring and divesting commercial properties on a national basis. He drafts and negotiates purchase and sale agreements, and assists clients with closing on acquisitions and dispositions. He has handled several large transactions, such as the divestiture of a large shopping center portfolio for a national developer and the sale of a waterfront mixed use project in New England.

Roger’s practice also includes office, industrial, and retail leasing, and he has handled national leasing agreements for large retailers, a pharmacy chain, national equipment rental company, and regional developers. He also handles transactions related to cell tower sites and telecommunications licenses.

Real Estate – Development + Financing

Roger represents local and national developers, real estate investment trusts (REITs), funds and lenders in developing and financing commercial, residential, and mixed-use office buildings; shopping centers; apartment complexes; and residential and mixed-use condominiums.

He represents national lenders and borrowers in connection with commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), franchise, affordable housing, and general commercial real estate loans and bond financing. He drafts and negotiates loan documents and provides advice regarding financing options.

Roger helps clients achieve their development and financing goals. He has assisted developers with the construction and financing of an oceanfront resort in New England, luxury seaside residences in Rhode Island, and a financial services company’s commercial headquarters.

Prior to joining Robinson+Cole, Roger was a partner at Edwards Wildman LLP. He began his career as a law clerk for DLA Piper and as an associate at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP.
