Ryan L. George has practiced law in the public finance sector for nearly 25 years. His experience centers on lender’s counsel and underwriter’s counsel engagements involving private placements and public offerings of tax-exempt and taxable municipal bonds with a focus on affordable multifamily private activity bond financings and the issuance of 501(c)(3) bonds to finance affordable housing, student housing, and healthcare facilities. Ryan’s experience also includes representing borrowers of tax-exempt bonds in restructuring transactions and defeasance matters.

Ryan has played a pivotal role as a special tax-exempt bond and loan counsel in structuring and executing transactions for banking clients, having participated in the nation’s largest bank-sponsored tax-exempt bond and loan conduit private placement program for affordable multifamily rental projects. His work has directly supported the financing of these projects, helping clients navigate complex regulatory frameworks while achieving impactful community investment outcomes. Ryan’s experience also extends to similar private placement programs for other banking institutions, where his strategic guidance has enabled clients to efficiently deploy capital, mitigate risk, and deliver long-term value.

Ryan leverages his deep knowledge of tax, securities, and municipal bond law along with his many years of experience working on financings in almost every state in the country with lead bond and issuers counsel to assist bank and borrower clients in structuring and closing deal structures for the clients’ lasting success and for the propagation of critical public infrastructure.
