Sheila Arjomandi’s primary focus is providing legal counsel, guidance and support to lenders in the financing of multifamily properties through Fannie Mae and the Freddie Mac programs.

Sheila advises lenders throughout the entire loan cycle, offering guidance on agency guideline interpretations, complex ownership structures, and other related matters. She also analyzes real estate litigation risk factors, identifies associated legal challenges, and formulates strategies for mitigation and resolution.

Sheila has worked on numerous transactions incorporating affordability features, such as low-income housing tax credits, tax exemptions and abatements, and Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments contracts.

Previously, Sheila has acted as “single counsel” through the Freddie Mac Small Balance Program.

Prior to joining our firm, Sheila served as in-house counsel for a hard money lender, where she structured mezzanine loans, preferred equity agreements, and assisted with other real estate mortgage financing.
