Shuqi Mao focuses her practice on corporate finance, corporate governance, and securities law. She advises domestic and foreign issuers, underwriters and/or investors on both private and public capital markets transactions. Shuqi counsels U.S. public companies with respect to regulatory compliance, periodic reporting obligations, and other general corporate matters.

Before joining Robinson+Cole, Shuqi practiced at a New York boutique law firm, where she represented issuers, underwriters, and/or investors in a broad range of securities offerings, including initial public offerings (IPOs), follow-on public offerings, uplisting offerings, registered direct offerings, and private investment in public equity (PIPE) transactions.

Her prior experience also includes preparing the registration statements, periodic filings, and other filings under the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, for public companies listed on NASDAQ, NYSE, and over-the-counter markets;  corresponding with the SEC, FINRA, and major stock exchanges; and actively engaging with regulators to address and resolve compliance issues. Previously, Shuqi has worked as a legal intern at a global law firm in China.

She is a native Mandarin speaker, and fluent in English, and conversational Japanese.

毛书奇律师经常就企业融资、公司治理和证券法问题为客户提供法律服务。她还经常为美国境内外发行人、承销商和投资者就私募和公开资本市场交易提供法律咨询意见。毛律师还经常为美国上市公司提供监管合规、定期报告和信息披露、和其他公司法事宜方面的咨询服务。

在加入本所之前,毛律师曾在一家纽约的精品律师事务所执业,代表发行人、承销商和或投资者处理各类证券发行交易,其中包括首次公开发行 (IPO)、后续公开发行、上市转板发行、注册直接发行(RDO) 和私募股权投资 (PIPE) 交易。

毛律师的其他工作经验还包括根据美国联邦《证券法》和《证券交易法》为在纳斯达克、纽约证券交易所和场外交易市场(OTC市场)挂牌的上市公司准备招股说明书、定期报告和其他信息披露材料;与美国证券交易委员会、美国金融业监管局和主要证券交易所进行监管沟通;配合监管机构处理和解决合规问题。毛律师此前还曾在一家全球性律师事务所的中国业务部门担任法律实习生。
