Community
For most of our 180-year history, Robinson+Cole has actively cultivated relationships and supported initiatives that enrich our communities.
That history is reflected in our commitment to furthering a culture of collaboration and inclusion, which extends itself to our vital engagement as good corporate citizens with those communities-at-large in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Florida, California, and Texas.
We are especially proud of our firm’s many employees who contribute their time, enthusiasm and fundraising skills to help serve the interests of numerous organizations and activities.
Community Initiatives
Robinson+Cole’s Chief Operating Officer Michael Orce and Events and Special Projects Planner Alecia Coffin - MBA participated in Junior Achievement of Southwest New England’s (JASWNE) Career Day at Guilford High School. Michael, Alecia, and other volunteers shared insight into their careers and background, available opportunities in the job market, and answered questions from students about the workforce, work life balance, and how to succeed in a professional environment.
Summer of Service: Miami
Lawyers and staff from our Miami office recently volunteered at Chapman Partnership’s homeless shelter. Chapman Partnership offers homeless shelters and services to vulnerable populations, including domestic violence victims, veterans, the disabled, unaccompanied youth, and justice-involved or justice-connected adults. Lawyers and staff participated in serving lunch to those in need and helped clean up after service.
Summer of Service: Providence
Lawyers and staff from Robinson+Cole’s Providence office volunteered at Bami Farm, a 16-acre farm in Johnston, RI, assisting the African Alliance of Rhode Island with planting various vegetables and flowers. The Farm offers both a nurturing space for growing culturally significant crops and a training ground for aspiring farmers.
Summer of Service: Boston
Robinson+Cole’s Boston office “squeezed” the day for a “zesty” time volunteering for The Greater Boston Food Bank as part of the firm’s 2025 Summer of Service initiative. Lawyers and staff sorted 6,360 pounds of lemons to help create 5,300 meals for families in need.
Robinson+Cole’s Frederick Hedberg awarded Grace Episcopal Church (Grace), ImmaCare Inc., and Advancing CT Together, Inc. (ACT) with grants of $1,500 each on behalf of the Hartford County Bar Foundation (HCBF) to support Grace Episcopal’s food pantry to help feed the most vulnerable in the Hartford region.
Summer of Service: Hartford
Robinson+Cole’s 2025 Summer of Service initiative kicked-off as volunteers from the firm’s Hartford office returned to West Hartford’s Elizabeth Park Conservancy to weed and beautify the park for upcoming events.
