Robinson+Cole Expands Philadelphia Office at Landmark Liberty Place
Robinson+Cole has expanded its Philadelphia office at One Liberty Place, one of Center City’s most prominent commercial addresses, reinforcing the firm’s continued investment in the market and its long-term growth strategy in the Mid-Atlantic region. The expansion was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 3, marking the next chapter for the firm and its Philadelphia team.
Robinson+Cole leased space at One Liberty Place in 2021, and the recently completed expansion increases the firm’s footprint from approximately 7,800 square feet to 12,400 square feet, nearly doubling its presence within the building. The firm also extended its lease through June 2033, underscoring its commitment to Philadelphia and the surrounding business community. Located at 1650 Market Street, One Liberty Place is a Class A+ trophy office tower that has long been a defining feature of Philadelphia’s skyline and a hub for leading professional services, financial institutions, and national law firms.
“Philadelphia continues to be an important market for Robinson+Cole, and this expansion reflects our confidence in the city and in the strength of our team here,” said J. Michael Wirvin, Robinson+Cole’s Managing Partner. “By expanding our presence at One Liberty Place, we are making a clear, long-term investment that positions our Philadelphia office for continued growth while supporting collaboration, connectivity, and client service.”
Taking cues from the industry’s latest design trends, including those reflected in the firm’s recently relocated Boston and Hartford offices, Robinson+Cole’s expanded Philadelphia location is designed to support up to 20 attorneys and professionals, offering flexibility for continued strategic growth while fostering collaboration and connectivity. The refreshed space aligns with Robinson+Cole’s hybrid work model and provides a modern, adaptable environment that supports both team-based work and focused client service.
Designed with flexibility and employee experience in mind, the expanded office incorporates a range of features that support well-being, privacy, and seamless collaboration. The space includes sit-to-stand desks, availability-based lighting technology that helps signal when colleagues are free to connect, as well as a dynamic digital signage and app-based room reservation system, all of which support hybrid work and team-based engagement. The office café features beverage stations and upgraded coffee service, creating an inviting setting for both informal gatherings and focused breaks. Robinson+Cole’s Design Committee collaborated with Studio Alliance to create a cohesive look and feel that aligns with the firm’s recently renovated offices, while tailoring the space to the needs of the Philadelphia team.
Since establishing its Philadelphia office more than six years ago, Robinson+Cole has demonstrated steady, intentional growth in the market, broadening its capabilities in key areas such as Bankruptcy + Reorganizations, Managed Care + ERISA Litigation, Immigration, and Data Privacy + Cybersecurity while deepening client relationships and building a cohesive, cross-disciplinary team.
“Our expanded space at One Liberty Place mirrors the evolution of our Philadelphia office,” said Natalie D. Ramsey, Partner in Charge of Robinson+Cole’s Philadelphia office. “We’ve grown thoughtfully since opening here, and this expansion allows us to maintain that momentum while providing a workspace that reflects how we work today and where we see continued opportunity for the future.”
The ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together firm leadership, Philadelphia-based attorneys and professionals, and invited guests to celebrate the expansion and Robinson+Cole’s ongoing commitment to the Philadelphia legal and business community.
