Judy Lu focuses her practice on large-loss property subrogation in pursuit of recoveries on behalf of insurers for catastrophic losses. She provides insurers with strategic guidance to maximize recoveries stemming from fire and water losses, as well as product and equipment failures.

Judy counsels insurers at the outset of every case, actively handles the origin and cause investigation, and works with national experts and consultants to determine subrogation potential and to identify potentially responsible parties.

She assists clients in effectively evaluating potential recoveries and then pursuing the responsible parties. She has successfully litigated and resolved large-loss subrogation matters throughout New York.

Prior to joining R+C, Judy represented contractors and public transportation entities in complex disputes concerning property damage and labor law litigation. She has extensive experience in developing litigation strategies, overseeing complex discovery processes, conducting and defending depositions, and managing motion practice, all of which contribute to her effective advocacy and case management.
