Justin M. Hyland concentrates his practice in the Financial Lines sector. In that role, Justin represents domestic and foreign insurers in complex coverage disputes arising under directors and officers and errors and omissions policies. He also represents carriers in complex disputes arising under policies of commercial general liability insurance.

While in law school, Justin served as a Legal Intern for the Hartford Department of Justice, Executive Office of Immigration Review. 

Pro Bono/Community Outreach

Justin assisted in representing an inmate in a 42 U.S.C. § 1983 action against state corrections officers. Prior to joining the firm, he helped establish a legal education program for elementary and middle school students in Bridgeport, Connecticut, geared toward introducing students to careers in the legal field.

R+C Volunteers Present Junior Achievement Programs at Parkville Elementary School

On December 1, 2023, Christine Bromberg, Linda Morkan, Justin Hyland, and Madison Picard volunteered to teach at Parkville Elementary in Hartford on behalf of the Southwest New England Chapter of Junior Achievement (JA). They presented to nearly 20 Parkville kindergartners teaching JA-developed programs in financial literacy and entrepreneurship, including the importance of having a job and how to earn and wisely save money. This year marks R+C’s 18th consecutive year that the firm has participated at Parkville Elementary under the JA program. Christine serves on the Emeritus Board of Directors for the Chapter.
