Robinson+Cole was recognized as a finalist for “Talent Management Initiative” as part of the New York Law Journal’s 2025 New York Legal Awards. The award recognizes lawyers and law firms who made a significant contribution to diversity and inclusion efforts in New York’s legal community in the past year. The firm was honored during the publication's annual awards celebration on September 4, 2025 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City and featured in a special honoree profile published on August 28, 2025.

In the Q&A, the firm shares what has been particularly inspirational in implementing successful diversity initiatives, reflects on the greatest diversity and inclusion-related challenges today for New York lawyers and law firms, and acknowledges proudest accomplishments in the area of diversity and inclusion in law:

"There are many, which is not surprising given our ongoing commitment to fostering a sense of inclusion and belonging and supporting career growth and development. One that stands out is that our efforts have allowed us to grow our New York City office so that a significant number of our attorneys there—and of our associates firmwide—more fully reflect the diverse communities in which we work and live.

Another is our implementation of new Parental and Childbirth leave policies ensuring equitable paid leave for Attorneys and Business Professionals. We also implemented new benefits to address the distinct needs of parents, caregivers, and LGBTQIA+ colleagues. Most recently, we learned that we have been highly ranked again as a top law firm for Inclusion in the Vault Best Law Firms Associate Survey, landing in the top 10 for the fourth time out of the past five years. In a highly competitive market for legal talent in New York and other cities, candidates are seeking us out because of our values, culture and talent and inclusion initiatives."
