Nicholas C. Perez focuses his practice on bankruptcy and restructuring. His work involves the representation of asbestos claimants’ committees in Chapter 11 cases arising from corporate divisional mergers, including drafting motions and briefs, conducting legal research on complex issues under the Bankruptcy Code, and supporting litigation strategy in cases that raise novel questions at the intersection of mass tort liability and corporate restructuring. Nick also has experience in adversary proceedings and has represented Chapter 11 debtors in corporate reorganizations, including the preparation of petitions, First Day motions, and supporting declarations.

Nick served as a judicial law clerk in the Commercial Division of the New York State Supreme Court, New York County (Manhattan). He previously practiced at an Am Law 100 firm in New York City, where his work included bankruptcy and commercial litigation.

Nick earned his JD, MBA and LLM in International & Comparative Law from Cornell University and graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University.
