Raymond C. Chappan has extensive experience as a lead associate representing lenders in closing commercial real estate loans, including loans intended for securitization or other sale in the secondary market.

He has been engaged in real estate financing matters ranging up to $225 million in total value. Those transactions have included multi-family properties through the Fannie Mae Delegated Underwriting & Servicing program and the Freddie Mac Seller-Servicer program, as well as commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) loans for affordable housing, commercial, and hotel assets. In the course of those representations, he also conducted and coordinated all transaction due diligence, including review of entity organizational documents; judgment, litigation, and lien searches; title reports, commitments, and policies; surveys; zoning reports; and property agreements.

Raymond is also experienced in coordinating and leading client development activities, ensuring effective and timely communications among parties as well as analyzing commercial leases, condominium documents, purchase and sale agreements, and tax, construction, and regulatory agreements.
