Robert Gilbert Caffary III counsels domestic and international insurers in complex disputes with a focus on large-loss property subrogation, coordinating recoveries for insurers following catastrophic losses.

Bob assists clients at the outset of a claim, investigating incident circumstances and causes, determining whether subrogation potential exists, and identifying potentially responsible parties to maximize recovery effectively and efficiently. He communicates the status of investigations, theories of liability, analysis of key documents, and relevant legal issues, considering business priorities in the context of his insurance coverage, claims procedures, and subrogation knowledge.

Prior to his current role, Bob served as Robinson+Cole’s Subrogation Coordinator, facilitating investigations with insurance adjusters, insureds, origin and cause investigators/engineers, governmental entities, and adverse parties. He also coordinated projects involving a nationwide network of expert witnesses as a paralegal.
