Christie Jean Facilitates Successful Events for George W. Crawford Black Bar Association

Finance Group lawyer Christie D. Jean was actively involved in the planning and execution of two recent events presented by the George W. Crawford Black Bar Association (“Crawford”). Serving in her capacity as chair of Crawford’s Judicial Diversity Committee, Christie coordinated the Celebration of Ascension in Hartford, Connecticut, on October 17, 2018. The event was hosted in recognition of the ascent of Crawford members in the Connecticut judiciary. This year’s honorees included Chief Justice Richard A. Robinson, Justice Raheem L. Mullins, Judge Maureen Price Boreland, Judge Donna M. Wilkerson Brillant, Judge Courtney M. Chaplin, Judge Eric D. Coleman, Judge Norma I. Sanchez-Figueroa, and Chief Family Support Magistrate Michael L. Ferguson. In addition, Christie helped organize a program entitled “How to be a Law Clerk” hosted at the University of Connecticut School of Law in Hartford, Connecticut, on October 22, 2018. The program included a panel discussion featuring current and former clerks for the Connecticut Superior Court, Connecticut Appellate Court, Connecticut Supreme Court, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and U.S. District Court.
