Robinson+Cole Continues Philadelphia Expansion with Addition of Immigration Team
Robinson+Cole is pleased to announce the addition of Robert C. Seiger to its Philadelphia office as a partner in the firm’s Immigration group. Seiger counsels employers and professional athletes on a broad spectrum of immigration matters. His practice focuses on industry-specific employment law services, training programs, litigation support, and immigration solutions. Seiger, along with associate Ashley Rotchford and paralegal Alexis Rudisel, join Robinson+Cole from Fox Rothschild.
“We’re excited to start 2025 by welcoming an experienced and innovative team to our growing Philadelphia office as we continue to strategically expand in our mid-Atlantic commercial centers,” said Rhonda J. Tobin, Managing Partner of Robinson+Cole. “Rob’s significant immigration experience across various industries, including a niche in the sports industry, will further enhance the client service provided by our large and dynamic immigration group.”
Robinson+Cole has seen steady growth in its Philadelphia and Wilmington, DE offices since opening them in 2019 and was recently listed among the “2025 Largest Law Firms in Greater Philadelphia” by the Philadelphia Business Journal. Natalie Ramsey, partner in charge of the firm’s Philadelphia and Wilmington offices and co-chair of Robinson+Cole’s Bankruptcy + Reorganizations group said she’s “proud of the firm’s ongoing advancement in the market” and “delighted to welcome Rob, Ashley and Alexis to our R+C community in Philadelphia.” Ramsey leads a national bankruptcy group that launched the firm’s two office locations six years ago and has since been instrumental in their development.
The addition of Seiger, Rotchford, and Rudisel brings Robinson+Cole’s Immigration group to over 20 members. “Rob’s practice is extremely complementary to ours. He and his team offer a depth of knowledge and experience that diversifies our group’s capabilities to serve current and future clients,” said Immigration group co-chair Megan R. Naughton. “There’s already a wonderful energy felt from Rob and his team and we’re thrilled to welcome them to our group.”
Seiger represents clients in professional and collegiate sports, including football, baseball, soccer, motor racing, and golf, as well as in the entertainment industry. He serves as outside immigration counsel to several National Hockey League franchises and represents college and university athletic departments in immigration and related compliance issues for their foreign athletes.
"I had been reflecting over the last year as to what my team has been able to provide our clients in terms of service and responsiveness, but equally internally critical as to how we could better align with the values and business needs of our clients, said Seiger. “Since its founding in 1845, Robinson+Cole has thrived on a culture of collaboration, civility and inclusion. These are the same values of our clients, and the core of how my team also practices internally. Being given the opportunity to join the efforts of Robinson+Cole’s Immigration group, but also be part of the growing Philadelphia office, made the decision easy."
Rotchford assists employers on a range of immigration law matters, including regulatory compliance and obtaining visas for key talent. Her clients include professional sports teams, Fortune 100 companies, and businesses of all sizes. She has experience with non-immigrant and immigrant petitions, family-based petitions, waivers of inadmissibility, and the PERM (Program Electronic Review Management) process, the first step of the most common green card category used by employers to sponsor employees for permanent residence in the United States.
